SEATTLE and BOLTON, England — Arkero Technologies Inc., the AI platform built for professional sports organisations, today announced a strategic partnership with Bolton Wanderers Football Club following three months of work to develop the club's AI strategy, transformation roadmap and modern data infrastructure.
At the centre of the partnership is a bespoke club intelligence layer built around Bolton's own data, systems, processes and organisational knowledge. Accessible across the club, it is designed to make information more useful to employees and provide the foundation for practical AI tools and agents.
The work is intended to help Wanderers engage supporters more effectively, identify opportunities to grow revenues and improve operational efficiency.
Rather than treating AI as a standalone technology project, Bolton is embedding it into how information is organised, decisions are made and work gets done across the organisation.
“AI transformation does not begin with a chatbot. It begins with a club's data, systems, knowledge and workflows.”
“Bolton is doing the foundational work required to make AI genuinely useful. Together, we are building a club intelligence layer that makes the organisation's collective knowledge accessible to employees and enables people to work collaboratively with AI agents.”
“The future football workplace will bring experienced people and AI systems together. Bolton has approached this work with real ambition.”
“AI will change how football clubs are run. We want Bolton Wanderers to be ready for that, not playing catch-up.”
“Over the past three months, we have worked closely with Arkero to develop a clear AI strategy and practical roadmap. They have been instrumental in helping us establish the modern data infrastructure required to operate the club more effectively.”
“We are rebuilding that foundation so our people can make better decisions, engage supporters more effectively, grow revenues and reduce unnecessary administrative work.”
“This is not about experimenting with AI at the edges of the club. It is about making a long-term investment in how Bolton Wanderers operates.”
Arkero is already working with Seattle Sounders FC, Seattle Reign FC and San Diego FC in the United States, and with Southend United in England, to apply AI across day-to-day football and business operations. Those deployments allow Arkero to bring Bolton practical lessons from organisations already introducing AI into the workplace.
Interest in this approach is accelerating. Arkero is currently in discussions with multiple EFL clubs and professional sports teams and leagues across Europe and North America as leadership teams look to move beyond generic AI tools and connect AI directly to their own data, knowledge and workflows.
“We are fortunate to be engaging with ambitious organisations across Europe and North America that are all asking a similar question: how do we move from experimenting with AI to actually changing how our organisation operates?”
“There is a window right now for forward-thinking clubs to build a meaningful advantage. In a few years, working alongside AI will simply be how professional sports organisations operate. The clubs doing the foundational work today will have a considerable head start.”
The partnership expands Arkero's work in English football and reflects growing demand for AI systems designed around the operating realities of professional sports organisations.
